TOPIC: Anzac Day

Anzac Day 9 years, 10 months ago #1

Anzac Day saw Jenny and I away camping in Port Maquarie, a nice walk along the beach and headlands and not a great deal of Bitou Bush present, looks like a lot of landcare work has been completed in previous years although it was alarming to see that a lot of the steeper cliff faces were still heavily infested with Bitou.

Unfortunately the repercussions of this is that the seeds will continue to spread and constantly require significant effort to keep the rest of the area clean and free from Bitou.

Lately I have been a little busy and have not had a chance to put a great deal of effort into my Bitou research project. I am still looking for a suitable site and as soon as I can locate this I can move forward and attempt to gain the necessary approvals from council to proceed.

In the mean time I will continue to pull out plants as I come across them and have the time. After all each plant that is removed is one less for the future.

Anyone wishing to contribute to our Bitou Eradication plan or willing to give a hand at any point please contact me for more information.
