Do you offer free quotes?
Aussie Tree Services provides free quotations for your requested work. We do however charge for advice in relation to your trees. We provide you with honest and ethical advice, and in order to be remunerated for our time and efforts we do need to charge for those consultations.
What areas do you service?
We service all areas of Cessnock, Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland, Port Stephens and Singleton. We do service other areas for Tree Reports and Consultations, and by arrangement we can carry out your tree work further afield however depending on the nature of the work there may be a surcharge.
Do you clean up after yourselves?
Yes, Aussie Tree Services prides ourselves in our quality of work. As part of this we believe that once we have carried out your tree work there is nothing worse than you still having to clean up after us - we do it for you, it is all part of the service.
Do I require council approval to prune or remove my trees?
In some cases there are some exemptions which negate the need for council approval, beyond these exemptions often council approval is required. Aussie Tree Services can provide assistance and guidance through the process to ensure you have the right information to attach with your application.
Do you offer emergency tree services?
Yes, we provide emergency tree removal and storm damage cleanup services. Contact us immediately for assistance.
Am I required to be home when you carry out the work?
We come prepared with all our tools and equipment and beyond requiring access through your garage (if no gate access is available) we don't require any internal access to your premises. You are able to go to work, drop the kids off, go about your normal day, although there is no problem with you opting to remain home on the day, however due to the nature of the machinery and equipment that we operate, we are unable to have you within our work area while we are conducting the work.
Are you certified and insured?
Yes, we have 2 x AQF level 5 arborists on the team, and combined our team has well over 50 years of tree care experience. We are fully insured to ensure that you and all our staff are protected.
What services do you offer?
We provide a range of services including tree trimming, tree pruning, deadwooding, tree removal, stump grinding, stump removal, emergency storm cleanup, arborist reports, tree health and safety assessments, Check out our Services page for more information.
My neighbour has a tree that annoys me, what can i do about it?
This question is a hard one, we don't like to get in the middle of neighbourly disputes, however we can provide you with some additional information by calling, and if required we can always carry out an assessment of the tree to determine if there are any issues which may require addressing.
Is my tree safe?
Whilst there is no such thing as a "safe" tree, our expertise is in tree risk management, we strive to ensure that all trees are left in a way whereby the risk is what we would term "ALARP" (As low as reasonably practicable) Feel free to reach out for a consultation, or to have us carry out a report on your tree(s).
How often should I trim or prune my trees?
It depends on the type of tree and its growth rate. If there is a need to prune then it is recommended, if there is no need, or any problems then there is no specific need to prune just for the sake of it. Most of the time, pruning will be carried out for either safety, health or for selective pruning to clear a building or service line. What are the signs that a tree might need to be removed?
A dead tree in close proximity to assets, extensive pest damage, disease and significant decay are some of the reasons that your tree may require removal, In all cases it is best to have an expert come to inspect the tree to determine the best course of action as in a lot of cases tree removal is not warranted and pruning may be able to resolve the problems.
How can I improve the health of my trees?
Regular pruning, proper watering, mulching, and timely pest and disease management are key. Our arborists can assess and recommend specific care.
Do you offer tree planting services?
Yes, we offer tree planting services tailored to your landscape and climate, ensuring proper species selection and planting techniques.
What should I do if I suspect my tree is diseased?
